Hey, it's Bryan, just wanted to let you know the second episode of my new Gunfighters podcast is dropping today, and it's a fun one. It's called, “Wait, Gunfighters Came From Where?” It tells the story of my search for the origins of Old West gunfighters, which took me to a surprising place: The Antebellum South.

Episode One

Hey, this is Bryan. The first episode of the podcast is up today, on Spotify, Apple and everywhere else you get podcasts. This one introduces the series and gives an overview of the Gunfighter Era, the period between 1865 and 1901, when men such as Billy the Kid, Wyatt Earp and John Wesley Hardin began getting famous for shooting and killing other Americans.

It's the first of 26 episodes. You can listen to them all, or just select your favorites. Almost all these episodes stand on their own. I hope you'll give it a listen.

Hey, this is Bryan. The trailer for my new narrative podcast, Gunfighters with Bryan Burrough, is up on Spotify and other podcast sources. Gotta say, it's something I've put a lot of work into, and I'm pretty excited.

The podcast tells the story of the Gunfighter Era of the Old West, 1865 to 1901, from early gunmen such as Wild Bill Hickok and John Wesley Hardin all the way through Billy and the Kid, Wyatt Earp and others into the twilight years at century's end, when the last marquis outlaws, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, hightailed it to South America.
